The Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing benefits to its members through a variety of programs. Your Chamber is always willing to work individually with each member business to ensure it receives the maximum value in return for its membership investment. Membership benefits are limited to a brief overview because personalized services are provided on an individual basis.

Promotional Opportunities

Ceremonies – The Chamber assists with planning for grand opening/ribbon cutting and ground-breaking ceremonies. Assistance includes inviting the Chamber members and local media to attend as well as providing a list of VIPs and Chamber members the business owner may want to contact personally. Press releases are sent to all Chamber contacts. Photo highlights will be forwarded to the media and posted in the Chamber newsletter and/or website.

Sponsorships & Advertising – Increase your exposure by sponsoring one of the Chamber’s special events or networking programs. Throughout the year we contact our members about many affordable sponsorships in the Community Alert e-newsletter, website, Chamber events as well as the Chamber county map and statewide magazines such as Florida Monthly.

Referrals – When the Chamber receives requests for local businesses, we only refer members.

Web link on Chamber website – Members receive a free web link and directory listing on www.gadsdenfla.com. In the future, members will be able to upgrade their listing to include their business logo. Note: the website is currently being restructured to create more exposure for member businesses as well as increase the ease of use.

Member Recognition & Identification – Members are encouraged to identify themselves as members of the Chamber. The Chamber provides window decals for this benefit. A logo is available upon request for placement on member websites and promotional materials including business cards, letterhead, and brochures.

Networking Opportunities

A variety of networking opportunities are available throughout the membership year. Members are invited to social mixers in the fall and during the holidays to mingle with their fellow members. The Chamber also holds annual golf and fishing tournament fundraisers that allow members to meet one another while supporting causes within their community. Currently, the Chamber is forming a lead group which will meet once a month for participants to promote their businesses and share lead opportunities with their business colleagues.

Resources

Business Counseling – The Chamber has partnered with the Florida A&M University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to offer free business counseling sessions to members on the second Monday of each month at the Chamber.

Business Library – Members are welcome to check out popular “how to” business manuals from the Chamber library.

Promotional Assistance – Members are encouraged to meet with the Chamber to discuss using their membership to promote their business to fellow members and other Chamber contacts.

Membership List – A complete membership list is available to Chamber members upon request. Members often use the list to contact their fellow members on a more personal level such as sending a special invitation to an open house or to announce a private sale to VIPs in the area.

Communications

Chamber Chatter – This electronic newsletter, distributed approximately twice a month to hundreds of contacts within the Gadsden County area, contains information about Chamber and community events, news, as well as member programs.

www.gadsdenfla.com – The Chamber website currently promotes the positive attributes that come with working, visiting, or living in Gadsden County. Our goal within the next several months is to create a source that anyone can browse to obtain information about community and Chamber events and news.
